Fundraiser-for-Japan Relief, with donations of more than 150,000 Lindens at Romance Abounds/The Laundromat by midnight SLT Saturday. Just one of the many organizations helping to raise money in Second Life for RL Japan!!! The 12 hour event kept the club packed, with a variety of djs spinning tunes - one per hour. All proceeds go to the Red Cross. Be sure to donate at any one of these organizations, if you can.

This year’s theme will be “Beyond Black and White,” embodying the spirit of cancer survivors everywhere as they find hope rising out of the dark diagnosis of cancer. Spread over the sims will be over 200 stores with a hunt and gatcha areas, all with the goal of raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Fashion for Life will feature the best designers from around the globe. 100% of donated funds will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

After an absence of nearly 8 months, the popular and beloved DynaFleur immersive art installation has returned to Second Life. Spanning an entire sim high above StellaNova, the sim belonging to MICA (Meta-Institute for Computational Astrophysics,) DynaFleur is the kind of experience that truly is possible only in Second Life.

There will be a reception with the witty and charming artists on Saturday, March 12 at 12:30 pm SLT, followed by ballroom dancing between 1 and 2 pm with pianist/singer Zachh Cale. Please come help celebrate with us!

The DynaFleur has been augmented in this incarnation with new graphic and design elements, including a landscape composed of 25 interlocking sculpted megaprims, over which video rolls on a sim-wide scale.

Cuba Rosa and Key West going just a few miles south to Havana for 4 hours of Latin loving fun.

Key West has prepared a special venue in the style of Cuba and its Capitol. Palms, Hacienda like things, rum drinks, bright and colorful. So get into your brightest clothing, or your nice dark Latin Lover suit, slick back your hair and get yourself there.

Other performers included: Sonya Jevette Charisma (original blues), AMFORTE Clarity (singer/songwriter), and Prowess Rayna (original piano works & improvisations).

The program was sponsored by Department of Women's Studies, Ohio State University, and the America Association of University Women - and produced by Music Island Concerts.
